AUTUMN WORKSHOP SERIES

Over the past couple of years I have been immersed in a number of writing projects exploring themes such as meaning, authenticity, human evil and the moral life. Alongside this work, I have found myself returning to an idea that first captured my imagination more than thirty-five years ago when I wrote my master's thesis on Viktor Frankl and the search for meaning.

It has become increasingly clear to me that these interests are not separate projects but part of a larger conversation about what it means to live well in today's world.

With that in mind, I am planning to launch a Philosophy for Living (one day)  workshop series in Galway this autumn.

Rather than offering lectures, the intention is to create a reflective space where thoughtful people can come together to explore some of life's enduring questions through the combined perspectives of philosophy and psychology.

The proposed series will explore themes such as:

                        • Living with Meaning and Purpose
                        • Authenticity
                        • Freedom and Responsibility
                        • Understanding Human Evil
                        • The Moral Life

Each day will be structured around

  • LEARNING

  • REFLECTION

  • CONVERSATION

If you feel this is something you might enjoy, I would be delighted to keep you informed as the programme develops. There is, of course, no obligation whatsoever. At this stage, I am simply trying to gauge the level of interest before making final arrangements.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

With best wishes,

Michael.
